Beer Battered Fish using Original Beer Bread Mix

  • 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Original Recommended)
  • 4 160 Gram Hake Fillets
  • 1 330ml Beer of Your Choice
  • OIl (Frying Oil)

  • 1 Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix (Original Recommended)
  • 4 160 Gram Hake Fillets
  • 1 330ml Beer of Your Choice
  • OIl (Frying Oil)
Instructions
  1. Pour half the Barrett’s Beer Bread Mix into a large bowl and add 330ml beer of your choice.
  2. Whisk the mixture till light and fluffy.
  3. Pour the other half of the mix into a shallow bowl for dusting.
  4. Heat two inches of oil in a frying pan.
  5. Dust the fish in dry mix and shake off any excess.
  6. Dip the fillets in the batter, coating well.
  7. Carefully place into the hot oil and fry for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown on both sides. .
  8. Drain on paper towel
Recipe Notes

* We recommend Italian Cheese Beer Bread Mix but you can use a different one of you choose.
